Description

Whilst in a community in Central Australia, your teacher Jo was taught the coiling technique of basket making and whilst it isn't a traditional indigenous technique, it is highly adaptable one that first nations people use and will allow you to explore making baskets forever!  Once you know the basics, you can adapt and create baskets endlessly!

All materials will be provided and a light lunch and afternoon tea will be included in your day.  Of course, fabulous company and a circle of fellow basket makers will make for a very pleasant Sunday!   Each attendee will make a small basket to take home to start their new found addiction!

Your Teacher

Your teacher Jo,  was originally a potter and then art teacher who has travelled and worked extensively in the northern regions of Australia.  She is a long time friend and colleague of Ox and has been working with us at Oxart this year both teaching classes and just sharing her knowledge and creating.

Cancellations & Refunds

If the organiser cancels the class:

You are entitled to a full refund.

If you can't attend the class:

  • A refund can be requested 1 day before class starts. Free of charge.
  • A transfer can be requested 2 hours before the class starts. Free of charge.
  • A credit note can be requested 2 hours before the class starts. Free of charge.

No changes will be allowed after these times.
